Power your future with Qualus in our Engineering department as an Associate Project Manager. This role will perform project management duties from core scope, scheduling, and budget management tasks. E nsures all phases of approved projects are completed efficiently and within scope, on schedule, and within budget. Will work on securing approval for permits and licenses, budgets materials, contractors, and other resources. Responsibilities Develop a deep understanding of the technical discipline involved in the project he or she is managing and begin to make technical decisions and provide critical technical oversite of the developing projects in their portfolio. Act as the primary point of contact for multiple projects, organizing and scheduling meetings, document meeting minutes, and prepare agendas working closely with Engineering Managers. Create and track project schedules, budgets, and scope. Provide regular reporting to project leads Coordinate with internal project teams, subcontractors, and external clients throughout the project life cycles. Actively support resource allocation by closely coordinating with various project teams to balance workload and allocations. Coordinate with project coordination and project control staff to complete document control procedures for internal client and external client operations including the uploading/downloading of submittals, RFI’s, and review comments. Provide frequent field support during design and construction. Provide technical guidance to all members of the project team based on updates to client standards and industry best practices. Ensure thorough documentation and completion of all project phases. Independently manage smaller projects, demonstrating proficiency in the full Project Lifecycle and project controls requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or Business Administration or equivalent experience in lieu of degree with be considered Three (3) years of technical experience in civil, structural, or utility construction project management experience Must be able to demonstrate understanding of business accounting practices and recordkeeping. Must be able to demonstrate great experience in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel Experienced in scheduling platforms for example: Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project Excellent written and oral communication skills Must possess a valid driver’s license Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365, SharePoint or Procore is a plus Experience in other industries related to Civil/Structural Engineering, Distribution, or Solar Interconnections are a plus Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions at both strategic and functional levels. Work independently with clear direction.
