Research Associate I Location: South San Francisco, CA 94080 (Onsite) Employment Type: W2 Contract (3-Year Contract with possibility for extension) Overview: BEPC is seeking a motivated Research Associate to join a cutting-edge Synthetic Molecule Analytical Chemistry team supporting drug discovery and development. This role focuses on the research, characterization, and analysis of drug substances, including small molecules, peptides, and oligonucleotides. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced R&D environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform research and analytical characterization of synthetic drug substances and delivery systems Develop and optimize chiral and achiral HPLC methods to support research objectives Execute analytical studies using UHPLC-MS, multidimensional HPLC, GC, KF, UV, and CAD Document experiments, analyze data, and prepare technical reports and summaries Troubleshoot methods and support ongoing research initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams including drug discovery, pharmaceutics, and process chemistry Evaluate and implement new analytical technologies to advance research capabilities Maintain accurate and compliant laboratory records Contribute to project goals within a multidisciplinary R&D team Qualifications: BS or MS in Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, or related field 1–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or analytical research environments Strong understanding of analytical chemistry principles Hands-on experience with HPLC and chromatography techniques Ability to interpret and communicate scientific data effectively Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented research environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech research settings Exposure to drug discovery, solid-state characterization, or pharmaceutics Familiarity with advanced analytical instrumentation Contract Details: Pay Rate: $45.00 – $48.28/hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (PT) Duration: 3-year contract with potential for extension Work Type: W2 contract only (C2C and C2H will not be considered) Fully onsite role in a laboratory/R&D setting Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment Exposure to advanced analytical technologies and instrumentation About BEPC: BEPC Inc., founded in 2007, is a 100% employee-owned company providing top-tier consulting and staffing solutions across industries like technology, engineering, manufacturing, and project management.
