The successful candidate will be at the forefront of redefining core financial workflows, implementing new systems, and driving innovation in the management of reporting, controls, and financial operations. This leadership position involves spearheading cross-functional initiatives, managing complex change efforts, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. The AVP will also be instrumental in major transactions, systems implementations, and enterprise-wide process enhancements, while championing continuous improvement and monitoring industry and regulatory developments. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a CPA designation, and at least 7 years of professional experience, particularly with exposure to the insurance industry. The role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory frameworks, as well as familiarity with financial systems and modern technology tools. Experience in financial analysis, due diligence, or FP&A is beneficial, as is an awareness of emerging technologies that support financial transformation. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
