The successful candidate will be the chief operational leader, with a focus on fiscal management, operations, and people leadership, rather than frontline fundraising. This executive will oversee core back-of-house functions, including finance, advancement services, CRM, annual giving, prospect research, and data services, ensuring fiscal integrity, systems effectiveness, and organizational excellence. The role is designed to support and enable fundraising and engagement efforts through strong internal operations, and the ideal candidate will have a background in finance, operations, or organizational administration, and will value mission-driven work and institutional stability. Key responsibilities for the Associate Vice President include leading and inspiring staff, acting as a strategic ally to University Relations, providing strategic oversight of the Foundation's operating budget, and leading the development and management of the Foundation's CRM. The role also involves identifying and implementing technology-driven strategies, overseeing the Annual Giving Program, and mentoring staff to foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a minimum of 5 years' of senior-level management experience, and a proven track record in managing multi-million-dollar budgets and professional teams. A Master's degree, fundraising campaign experience, and a background in higher education or not-for-profit sector are preferred. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, exceptional communication, and the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
