Summary The Kindergarten Assistant will provide academic, socio-emotional, and/or behavioral support at the direction of the kindergarten teacher. The job will include instructional and supervisory responsibilities while working with students one-on-one, with a small group of students, or with a whole group of students. The Kindergarten Assistant will report to and is evaluated by the principal and kindergarten teacher(s). Responsibilities SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares materials for instruction. Provides planning time for teachers, including but not limited to outdoor activities, rhythm activities, and story time. Provides lunchroom assistance. Supervises school-based routines, such as dismissal, restroom, etc. Performs any other duties as assigned.
