Construction Litigation Of Counsel | Hybrid (Newark, NJ) | $275K Location/Schedule: Newark, NJ (Hybrid) Base Salary: $275k Practice: Construction Litigation – Sophisticated construction defect, delay claims, mechanic’s liens, Labor Law, and complex commercial construction disputes for contractors, developers, owners, and insurers. Core Requirements (Flexibility for Exceptional Candidates): JD from an accredited law school and active New Jersey bar admission (New York admission a plus). 8+ years of construction litigation or related complex commercial litigation experience. Strong drafting, negotiation, and client management skills. Responsibilities Manage construction litigation matters from inception through discovery, motion practice, and trial Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and dispositive briefs Conduct depositions of key witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives Analyze contracts, delay claims, defect allegations, and insurance coverage issues Prepare for and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings No one fits every box perfectly - if you have strong construction litigation experience and are looking for a high-level Of Counsel role with meaningful responsibility and excellent compensation, let's talk confidentially!
