Insurance Defense Attorney (General Liability) Baltimore | Hybrid Salary: $125,000–$215,000 + Bonus (DOE) Are you an Insurance Defense Attorney looking for a firm where you can build your skills, handle meaningful cases, and still maintain balance? This growing and well-respected litigation firm is expanding its Maryland team and is looking for an attorney who wants hands-on experience with general liability matters in a supportive, team-oriented environment. This is a hybrid role with a manageable 1,800 billable hour target, offering consistent work without the typical burnout culture. What You’ll Do: Handle insurance defense and general liability cases (premises liability, auto accidents, slip-and-fall) Manage your own caseload from intake through resolution or trial Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda Take and defend depositions Appear in court, mediations, and arbitrations across Maryland Work closely with partners and clients to develop litigation strategy What We’re Looking For: JD from an accredited law school Admission to the Maryland State Bar. 1+ year of insurance defense or civil litigation experience Strong legal writing, research, and case management skills Ability to manage deadlines and multiple cases effectively Why This Role Stands Out: Competitive salary + performance-based bonus Hybrid flexibility (work from home + office balance) Reasonable billable requirement (1,800 hours) Strong mentorship and hands-on training Clear path for growth and advancement Comprehensive benefits package Apply Today: Please apply with your resume for an in-formal chat on the position.
