Auction House Assistant -- Cataloging & Auction Production Specialist About UsWe are a respected, growing auction house dedicated to presenting curated collections with integrity, precision, and professionalism.Our reputation is built on accuracy, thoughtful presentation, and a deep appreciation for the history and craftsmanship behind every item we offer.As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly dependable and detail-driven professional to join our auction production team.Position Summary The Auction House Assistant plays a vital role in the preparation and execution of premium online auctions.This position is responsible for transforming inventory into refined, accurate, and visually compelling auction catalogs.The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, reliable, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency in every detail.While prior auction experience is not required, a genuine interest in antiques, collectibles, sports memorabilia, or historical artifacts is strongly valued.Core Responsibilities Photograph auction inventory with careful attention to lighting, clarity, and accurate representation Research, catalog, and assist in valuing a wide range of collectible and specialty items Thoughtfully curate and assemble cohesive, marketable auction lots Edit and prepare images to meet established presentation standards Build and manage complete auctions within proprietary auction software systems Maintain structured digital workflows, file management standards, and internal databases Utilize Excel and internal tools to ensure organized and accurate catalog creation Conduct detailed reviews of listings to ensure precision, completeness, and consistency Follow established cataloging procedures, timelines, and quality control practices Develop expertise across the categories represented in our auctions Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure seamless auction production Support additional operational needs as required to uphold auction schedules and standards Qualifications Proven reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of professional accountability Exceptional organizational abilities and strong project management skills Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy Comfort with technology and the ability to learn specialized auction and cataloging software Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently with focus as well as collaboratively within a professional team environment Appreciation for antiques, collectibles, or historically significant items preferred Experience with product photography, cameras, or lighting equipment is beneficial (training available) Reliable transportation Ability to lift and move items up to 40 lbs Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during production work Vintage Auction is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$15.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Benefits:401(k) 401(k) 3% Match 401(k) matching Dental insurance Life insurance Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
