Job Description: Facilitates early detection, prompt referral and early habilitation of infants with hearing loss. Are you passionate about early childhood development and interested in a career in communication disorders or speech-language pathology? We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hearing Screening Assistant , conducting newborn hearing screenings in a hospital setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for students or recent graduates pursuing degrees in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology , or related fields to gain hands-on experience in a clinical environment while making a meaningful impact in the lives of families. Essential Functions Conducts newborn hearing screenings per established protocols under the direction of a supervising Audiologist Operates OAE and other designated equipment to conduct hearing screening on neonates and pediatric patients. Completes required documentation, parent education, and follow up, including referrals and tracking Skills Communication Process management Attention to detail Time management Accountability Dependability Qualifications One year of work experience in a health-related field or early childhood development preferred Physical Requirements Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
