We are looking for an experienced Audit Manager - Public to join a well-established services firm in Southlake, Texas. This position is ideal for an experienced public accounting specialist who brings deep technical expertise, a steady career history, and the ability to guide client engagements with confidence. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing practice while supporting high-quality client service and team development. Responsibilities Lead public audit engagements from planning through final delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to industry standards. Manage relationships with clients by serving as a trusted point of contact, addressing concerns, and providing clear guidance throughout the engagement process. Review financial statements, workpapers, and supporting documentation to maintain quality and compliance across all assigned projects. Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff, offering direction on technical matters and promoting strong team performance. Coordinate engagement timelines, staffing, and priorities to keep multiple assignments moving efficiently and effectively. Collaborate with firm leadership to support practice growth, strengthen client retention, and identify opportunities for expanded services. Apply advanced knowledge of complex tax return matters, including partnership and corporate tax filings, when supporting broader client needs. Maintain a consistent and dependable approach to client service, documentation, and engagement execution in a stable work environment. At least 10 years of experience in public accounting, with substantial experience managing audit engagements. Demonstrated background in preparing or reviewing complex tax returns. Strong knowledge of partnership tax return requirements and related reporting considerations. Experience with corporate tax return preparation or review. Proven ability to oversee teams, delegate work effectively, and maintain high standards of quality. Stable employment history that reflects reliability and long-term attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
