About the Role We are looking for a highly practical, operations-focused builder who can apply technology to improve how our business runs day-to-day. This role focuses on reducing manual work, eliminating redundancies, and creating more efficient, connected workflows across the organization. You will work closely with leadership to translate real-world operational challenges into simple, effective technical solutions, while identifying opportunities to leverage automation and AI where appropriate. Mission Design and implement automation, system improvements, and AI-enabled solutions that increase efficiency, reduce manual workload, eliminate redundant efforts, and support the company’s ability to scale. Core Responsibilities Collaborate with leadership to identify, prioritize, define and execute automation and systems improvement initiatives across the organization Build and implement workflow automations across operations (coordination, recruiting, HR, finance, etc.) Reduce redundant processes and disconnected workflows across departments Integrate systems and tools using APIs, automation platforms, and lightweight scripting Apply AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, LLM-based workflows) to enhance automation and operational efficiency Evaluate and recommend tools, approaches, and improvements to increase efficiency and scalability Deliver solutions that are reliable, easy to maintain, and practical for real-world use Ideal Candidate Profile Experience building automations or internal tools in a startup or operations-heavy environment Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and workflow automation tools (Zapier, Make, n8n, etc.) Experience using AI tools Comfortable with scripting (Python or similar) Practical, execution-oriented mindset with a focus on problem-solving Ability to understand business workflows and translate them into technical solutions Success Metrics Reduction in manual tasks and time spent on repetitive workflows Reduction of redundant processes across departments Improved operational efficiency and system connectivity Ability to delay or reduce the need for additional hires through automation and AI Compensation Salary Range: $120,000 – $150,000 annually Work Structure Remote-first with periodic in-person collaboration during key project phases.
