Automation Technician Location: Parsippany, NJ Job Type: Full-Time Department: Engineering / Manufacturing Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated systems and equipment. This role is critical in ensuring optimal performance of machinery, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain automation systems, including PLCs, actuators, sensors, and robotics Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues in real time Perform preventive maintenance on automated equipment Assist engineers with system upgrades, testing, and commissioning Support production teams by quickly resolving equipment failures Maintain documentation of system changes, repairs, and maintenance logs Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures Qualifications 2+ years of technician experience in industrial automation or manufacturing Experience wiring control cabinets Experience with machine tools: Drill Press, Band saw, Mill Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Preferred Skills Experience with robotics (e.g., Denso, FANUC, ABB, UR) Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings 3d printing CNC Benefits Health Insurance
