LOCATION Wilmington, North Carolina 28402 (Onsite) COMPENSATION $55-61 hourly pay rate SCHEDULE Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM CONTRACT TERM 12-month contract (May 25, 2026 – May 19, 2027) Potential for extension and long-term opportunity INTERVIEW PROCESS 1 round virtual interview (camera on required) POSITION OVERVIEW The Automation Test Engineer IV will develop specifications, testing procedures, inspections, and technical documentation for electronic components and replacement parts used in nuclear power plant applications. This role will interface closely with sourcing, quality teams, suppliers, and product departments to support testing, manufacturing, and product reliability initiatives. This position is ideal for someone with strong power electronics experience, automation testing expertise, and the ability to solve complex technical challenges in a highly regulated engineering environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Support the resolution of technical issues related to current projects, equipment under test, and in-service platforms Ensure on-time delivery of detailed designs and technical support for manufacturing and testing activities Develop power electronic solutions for products and projects Apply analog and digital electronics design knowledge to support power distribution and control products Manage requirements, verification, validation, and testing activities Support the full product development lifecycle and provide technical guidance to internal teams Develop manual and automated production test procedures to ensure product reliability and functionality Provide technical support to technicians during testing activities Diagnose and troubleshoot analog and digital electronic systems Utilize automated test systems and develop automated test programs Create and maintain technical documentation and testing procedures Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sourcing, suppliers, and quality teams REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering from an accredited university/college or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years of experience in power electronics engineering Prior experience with National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills Experience supporting electronics testing and validation activities Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Self-starter with strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent teamwork, communication, and coordination skills Demonstrated technical leadership experience Experience in the Nuclear Industry Knowledge of electronics design and development methodologies including design for manufacturing and testing Familiarity with power switching and control circuitry technologies Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other measurement instrumentation Programming experience in LabVIEW Experience using automated test systems and writing automated test programs Experience writing technical documentation Ability and willingness to travel as needed Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT Fully onsite position within a manufacturing and engineering environment Frequent interaction with electronic test equipment and manufacturing systems Ability to operate computers, diagnostic equipment, and testing instrumentation May require standing, walking, and working within laboratory or production environments for extended periods Work may involve deadlines and support of production or testing schedules
