Job Summary SCC, LLC is seeking a reliable Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel trucks and directional boring equipment. This hands-on role focuses on keeping our Cummins and Deutz-powered trucks and drilling rigs running safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and directional boring equipment. Service and repair Cummins and Deutz engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical components. Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues. Conduct routine services (oil changes, filters, fluids) and document all work. Ensure equipment meets DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards. Requirements Minimum 1 year of diesel mechanic experience (more experience preferred). Strong working knowledge of Cummins and Deutz engines. Experience with heavy trucks and/or directional boring (HDD) equipment is a plus. Ability to read schematics, use diagnostic tools, and work independently. Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred). Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying conditions.
