Job Description Due to aggressive growth at Midway Chevrolet we are looking for an Automotive Parts Shipping & Receiving Clerk. We at the MIDWAY CHEVROLET want to make our Parts departments as efficient as possible! We know that starts with our most valuable resource – our employees. High volume chevy dealer looking for a great candidate to fill the role. Strong personnel and able to multi-task efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES Notifies all necessary parties when special ordered parts have been received Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention Pulls and fills orders from stock Pulls orders for delivery to body shops, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job number Conduct daily inventory cycle counts. Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates. Packs items into containers, using the appropriate spacers, fillers and protective padding. Follows up on back-ordered parts and replenishes assigned inventory daily Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors; stocks items not picked up or required Operates tier-lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments for shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. Ensures that outgoing shipments meet specifications. Any other duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required Parts Experienced Preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Bi-lingual is always a plus! Strong computer & phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook) ADP experience a plus Ability to be analytical, problem solve and multi-task Professional appearance and work ethic Self-motivated, goal oriented, and ability to work within a fast paced environment Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) Able to lift up to 30lbs Company Description Midway Chevrolet Chevrolet Dealer of the Year – 18 Year Award Winner Midway Chevrolet continues to be a leading Chevy dealer in Phoenix due to our exceptional staff and low prices.
