Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department with energy and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer satisfaction, and drive the profitability of our automotive service center. Your leadership will inspire a team of skilled technicians and service advisors to deliver top-tier automotive repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of the service department, including workflow, staffing, and customer interactions, to ensure smooth daily operations. Lead and motivate a team of service technicians and advisors to deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance services. Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and auto body repairs. Implement upselling strategies by identifying additional services that benefit customers while increasing departmental revenue. Ensure accurate auto estimating and service writing to provide transparent pricing and detailed repair descriptions. Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing concerns promptly and fostering positive relationships with clients. Monitor inventory levels for parts and tools essential for automotive repair tasks; coordinate with vendors as needed. Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper records of all financial activities related to the service department. Stay current with industry trends, technical advancements in automotive diagnostics, and repair techniques to continually improve service quality. Qualifications Proven experience with a strong background in auto service management. Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, alignments, suspension components, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair. Hands-on mechanic experience combined with excellent leadership skills to guide a team of technicians effectively. Demonstrated ability in auto estimating and service writing; familiarity with automotive repair software is preferred. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building trust and loyalty. Strong sales acumen with experience in upselling vehicle maintenance services and automobile sales. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining detailed records. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
