Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and steering. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems effectively. Repair or replace powertrain components such as engines, transmissions, and drive axles with precision. Perform wheel alignments and wheel balancing to ensure vehicle safety and optimal handling. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools safely and efficiently. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements. Work on advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) calibrations and repairs to enhance vehicle safety features. Diagnose automotive electrical systems including sensors, wiring harnesses, and electronic modules. Assist with auto estimating processes by accurately assessing repair needs for insurance claims or customer quotes. Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with manufacturer standards and safety regulations. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive service technician background in automotive repair. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle makes and models, Expertise in automotive diagnostics using modern scan tools and diagnostic software. Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and system troubleshooting. Skilled in repairing diesel engines as well as gasoline-powered vehicles. Knowledge of powertrain components including engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and transfer cases. Ability to perform wheel alignments accurately using specialized alignment equipment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Auto estimating proficiency for accurate repair cost assessments. Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems including sensors, switches, relays, and control modules. Familiarity with the use of hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers; power tools like impact wrenches; and maintenance equipment safely.
