Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in diagnosing and resolving complex vehicle issues. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Automotive Mechanic will work on a variety of vehicles, including GM models, and will be responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations. Diagnose automotive issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair and replace automotive electrical systems, powertrains, and mechanical components. Conduct alignment services and ensure proper vehicle handling. Work with schematics to understand vehicle systems and troubleshoot problems effectively. Maintain accurate records of all services performed on vehicles. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs and repair options. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery. Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and diesel engine repair techniques. Skills Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair processes. Familiarity with dealership operations is preferred, especially with GM vehicles. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively. Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with the ability to read schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Experience in vehicle maintenance tasks such as alignment, powertrain repairs, and auto body repair is highly valued. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients and address their concerns. Basic welding skills are a plus for certain repair tasks.
