Job Description
A Professional Aviation Services Corp - APAS is an FAA/EASA approved Part-145 repair station with great accessories and structure shops just minutes from Miami International Airport. Here at APAS, we have an extensive capacity in structures such as Nacelles, flight surfaces, fairings, rotors, elevators, panels, load floors, Etc. The accessories section covers pneumatics, hydraulics, fuel, current generators (IDG), rotary pneumatics, electronics, and electromechanics. We have developed test, repair, and overhaul ram air turbine (RAT) capabilities, and we have built and approved our wind tunnel. APAS is currently seeking for Aviation Accessories Technicians Job Duties: Position involves the disassembly, repair, reassembly, and testing of a wide variety of complex aircraft components in a production environment. Teardowns, visual inspections, dimensional inspections, document review, writing condition reports of findings, ordering parts. Each of these functions must be performed following the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), overhaul manual. The ability to decipher highly technical manufacturers' specifications is required. Assist and instruct others in assigned area in proper procedures of setting up, and operating equipment techniques. Keep the work area clean and free of safety hazard. In addition, mechanics are responsible for conducting in-depth research on each component assigned to them, completing required test sheets, and testing all required parameters. Creativity and ingenuity in developing methods and/or equipment to complete assignments, and the ability to determine whether a component can be repaired or must be replaced is required. Assignments must be completed in strict compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) directives. Failure to do so could result in an aircraft incident or accident due to a component malfunction. The shop supervisor distributes work assignments, and the mechanics' level of experience determines the complexities of assignments. In all cases, the incumbent is personally required to provide hand tools and must demonstrate basic skills necessary to perform assignments with minimal supervision. May perform other duties as requested by the supervisor. Qualifications: Candidate must possess a minimum of 10-year experience and demonstrate the ability to read/interpret complex technical data and understand mechanical principles pertaining to aircraft components.
