Civil Engineer – Aviation Projects Experience Level: Mid-Senior Experience Required: 7 Years Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree Job Function: Engineering Industry: Civil Engineering Compensation: View Salary Total Positions: 1 Relocation Assistance: Limited Visa Sponsorship Eligibility: Yes Job Description We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer who is eager to take on increasing responsibilities in the design and management of landside civil engineering projects supporting aviation clients. The successful candidate will provide project status updates to department management, coordinate with clients and subconsultants, and actively participate in project delivery. Work assignments may include, but are not limited to: Preparation of construction drawings Development of construction cost estimates Drafting and processing technical specifications Organizing and coordinating meetings with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders Essential Functions and Responsibilities Develop contract documents (plans, specifications, and quantities/estimates) Organize and lead project meetings Maintain and update department organizational and quality control standards Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical/geological data for project planning Perform design computations Coordinate with and/or manage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplines Required Skills Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer/MicroStation Strong construction cost estimating skills Ability to draft technical specifications Proficiency with MS Office applications Preferred Skills Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, Engineering Briefs, and Orders Familiarity with DoD Unified Facilities Criteria Experience with project management principles (scheduling, budgeting, etc.) Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent 4–8 years of civil design experience Demonstrated task management experience Preferred Experience Supervisory experience on project tasks Road/Highway design experience Must Have Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent 4–8 years’ experience in Civil Design Task management experience Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer/MicroStation Strong construction cost estimating skills Technical specification writing experience
