The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM)—the largest aviation maintenance training school in the U.S.—is seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs), Aircraft Mechanics, and FAA-certified A&P Mechanics to join our team as instructors. At AIM, you'll: Share your real-world aircraft maintenance experience with future technicians Enjoy more predictable schedules compared to field work Make a lasting impact on students entering the aviation industry Continue growing your own knowledge while developing others About the Role As an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor (A&P Mechanic Instructor), you will deliver FAA-aligned aviation maintenance curriculum and provide hands-on instruction to students preparing for careers as aircraft maintenance technicians (AMTs). This role is ideal for experienced A&P mechanics, aircraft mechanics, and aviation maintenance professionals who want to combine technical expertise with mentorship and training while delivering hands-on aviation maintenance instruction in classroom and active hangar environments. Schedule Options (Full-Time) Evening Shift: Monday – Thursday: 3:00PM – 11:00PM Friday: 7:00AM – 3:00PM Day Shift: Monday – Friday: 7:00AM – 3:00PM Weekend Shift (Four 10-hour days): Friday – Sunday: 7:00AM – 5:00 PM One additional 10-hour day of your choice (for preparation time) – flexible Key Responsibilities Teach our FAA-aligned curriculum in a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and skill development Support program leadership in the development and revision of high quality, accurate course materials Record accurate attendance, grades, evaluations, and other required documentation Notify leadership of any emerging concerns affecting student performance or classroom operations Complete required training and participate in classroom observations and evaluations Complete other tasks and projects assigned by Supervisor Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Associate degree in a related field preferred Experience At least three (3) years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience Skillset Stron
