Job Description
B2B Supplier/Merchant Enablement, Manager (Remote Eligible)Travel up to 25% - 50% travel to client sites.ResponsibilitiesWork with internal teams such as analytics, vendor outreach, sales, client success and client development to identify leads to convert non accepting vendors to accepting vendorsBe knowledgeable about our clients and industry verticals; understand purchasing and receivables needs and behavior of businesses and stakeholder personas (i.e. Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Treasury, and Finance)Expert knowledge of credit card industry pricing and ability to influence clients behaviorDeep understanding of merchant acquiring business, how vendors process cards, and financial considerations of price to value including cash flow, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and WACC (Weighted Average Cost of Capital) elementsKnowledge of vendors ERP systems and gateways to assist Capital One clients in utilizing card for paymentBe a trusted advisor by building positive relationships, handling client and vendor needsAnticipate and resolve issues, provide solutions to clients and vendors in a timely mannerContact vendors to identify card acceptance and secure payment instructions for clientsThe CandidateWill work well in a newly formed team that is scaling, including contributing to defining well managed processes to support scalabilityAble to build relationships and influence at Executive and functional levelsPossesses strong verbal and written communication skillsHands on experience in card sales, merchant services and client management and the ability to deliver a superior customer and vendor experienceCreative thinker willing to go outside of their laneStrong professional presence with ability to work directly with clients and vendorsPossess maniacal focus on helping clients realize the full potential value of their programCourageous – not afraid of tackling large, complicated issues, having difficult conversations and asking tough questionsThrives in an environment of process development and change with an open and flexible mindsetProblem solver capable of synthesizing information to make informed decisionsStrategic mindset and ability to leverage data in identifying growth opportunitiesThe ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and serve as an advocate for our clients.
