About The Role We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team at Hinge. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, operating, and maintaining the cloud services that power our platform. Your work will directly impact millions of users by enabling seamless, reliable, and scalable backend systems that support user interactions and facilitate meaningful connections. You will tackle complex technical challenges, own significant portions of the software stack, and contribute to the overall technical strategy of the company. As part of a diverse cross-functional team, including Product, Data Science, Machine Learning, iOS, Android, and Data Engineering, you will collaborate closely to develop innovative solutions that enhance user growth and monetization. You will also participate in on-call rotations, ensuring system reliability and performance, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
