About Us Backgrounds Online, headquartered in Sacramento, has been a trusted leader in background screening since 1999.We help employers nationwide make informed and compliant hiring decisions.As members of the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA), we are committed to accuracy, integrity, and excellent service.Position Overview We are seeking a Background Screening Specialist to join our Sacramento office.This role involves analyzing records, verifying credentials, and interpreting results to support critical hiring decisions.Responsibilities Conduct and review background checks using internal and third-party systems Investigate discrepancies and combine findings from multiple sources Interpret data within compliance and employment law standards (FCRA knowledge a plus) Communicate results clearly and professionally to clients Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues Handle sensitive data with confidentiality and accuracy Contribute ideas to improve processes and client experience Qualifications Experience in background screening, HR, compliance, or investigations preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines while maintaining accuracy Proficiency with technology and adaptable to new systems Ethical, dependable, and detail-oriented team player Why Join Us?
