Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders at the counter, ensuring excellent customer service. Operate register system for accurate order processing and cash handling. Prepare bagels and other food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities. Manage food handling responsibilities including stocking supplies, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the food prep area. Follow all food industry regulations regarding sanitation, safety, and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers. Skills Proven experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service or fast food restaurants. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse customers. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while managing time efficiently. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totaling. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper kitchen procedures. Experience with cashiering, upselling techniques, and serving in a café or retail grocery store environment is highly desirable.
