Orange Butter Bakery is hiring a baker to join our small team in Los Angeles.We make gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free baked goods sold at 8 LA farmers markets every week -- real ingredients, real recipes, nothing artificial.Schedule:Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday or Thursday/Friday/Saturday, 6-8 hours per day.We're flexible on which block works for you.You'll work directly with the owner in a comfortable, well-organized kitchen with clear direction and open communication.We have a set menu, so the recipes are dialed in -- your job is to execute them consistently and at volume.This is a hands-on production role, not a learning opportunity.You should already be comfortable in a kitchen and confident following recipes at volume.Professional bakery experience is preferred, but strong kitchen experience in any setting (restaurant, catering, food production) works too.What matters most is that you're reliable, detail-oriented, and take pride in what you make.Mon/Tue/Wed or Thu/Fri/Sat -- negotiable and flexible Must have:Kitchen experience -- bakery, restaurant, catering, or food production Ability to follow recipes precisely and consistently at volume Comfortable working quickly, efficiently and safely Good at asking questions when something isn't clear Clean worker who takes food safety and sanitation seriously Great to have (but not required):Professional bakery experience Experience with convection ovens and large commercial mixers Familiarity with food safety regulations (ServSafe, etc.) Experience with specialty or allergen-free ingredients Reliable transportation to the kitchen What you'll do:Prep ingredients -- fruits, vegetables, dry mixes for batters Prepare batters and bake 600items per week using convection ovens and large mixers Follow recipes precisely -- our customers rely on consistency Package baked goods for sale, maintaining freshness and quality Track inventory and ingredients on white boards Keep the kitchen clean and organized at all times Follow strict allergen protocols (dedicated gluten-free, dairy-free kitchen) Communicate daily with the owner about production, issues, and ideas Help streamline processes -- if you see a better way to do something, speak up Why you'll like it $20/hour, 32 hours/week -- consistent schedule, steady paycheck Flexible 3-day blocks (Mon-Wed or Thu-Sat), 6-8 hours per day Work with real, beautiful ingredients -- almond flour, maple syrup, avocado oil, cage-free eggs Small team with a direct line to the owner -- no corporate layers Comfortable, safe, well-equipped kitchen Free product to take home Employee discounts for friends and family Room to grow -- we're expanding into retail and need people who want to grow with us Supportive environment that values doing good work, not just clocking hours How to apply:Text or email Johanna directly -- tell us a little about yourself, where you've worked in kitchens before, and when you could start.Keep it casual.A resume helps but isn't required.Johanna:(310) 340-2597 Email:johanna@orangebutterbakery.com We respond to every message.If you're a good fit, we'll set up a quick trial shift so you can see the kitchen and we can see you work.Pay:$24.90 - $29.99 per hour Benefits:Employee discount Flexible schedule Opportunities for advancement Work Location:In person.
