Tomodachi and Mims are hiring! Tomodachi Bake Shoppe / Mims Bakery are micro bakeries that supply pastries and bread to a variety of cafes in the downtown Salt Lake area. During the summer we also sell at the Wheeler Farm Sunday Market every week. We operate out of a small commercially licensed bakery in Murray making artisanal croissants and sourdough bread along with miscellaneous baked goods. Tomodachi Bake Shoppe fuses the traditional ingredients of Japanese cuisine with French baking techniques to create a product unique to Salt Lake City. Mims Bakery operates as the bread portion of the business and makes beautiful crusty sourdough for retail sales and for use in cafes. We are looking for seasoned bakers who are wanting to establish a career in Salt Lake City. This individual needs to show passion for the craft and an eagerness to learn more about pastry and bread. Over the next few years we plan to expand and grow. Those involved will have a clear job description with plenty of room for growth.\ Requirements include Solid transportation - the bakery space is located in Murray Respect for your fellow work mates Mixing and portioning bakery products including, but not limited to, sourdough bread, cookies, scones etc. Cleanliness and Organizational skills Previous professional baking experience Being able to problem solve, and take part of constructive criticism led conversations Note Taking! Early morning bakes and delivery Perks of the Job: Being in an exciting work environment. We sell at farmers markets and do Pop ups at local businesses! There is always something happening. Being proud of what you create. We use the best ingredients we can get our hands on and we implement classic French techniques to make products that are beautiful and unique.
