Baker’s Assistant I’m looking for a baker’s assistant to help me in my bakery. This is a part-time position temporarily (32 hours a week), opportunity to become full time in the future. $17/h +tips. I need someone who is passionate about baking and enthusiastic about food. You must be timely and reliable as I will depend on you to perform various bakery duties unsupervised. MUST have professional baking experience. Please attach your resume AND pictures of your creations (by email) to give me an idea on the level of skill you bring with you. Hours: 8am-5pm (with 1 hour lunch break), Wednesday through Saturday. (Sun-Mon-Tue off days). Bakery operation days have changed temporarily. Responsibilities Perform stocking, cleaning, and sanitation tasks as needed. Assist the baker with kitchen and bakery duties (preparing coffee and serving customers, baking, piping, food prep etc.) Qualifications Having baking experience is REQUIRED. Must have reliable transportation, and be timely. Must be able to work weekends Must know your way around kitchen, experience using various kitchen equipments, and have a passion for baking Must be open to new experiences related to food, and like foods from different cultures (mainly Middle East, Turkish) Need to be a quick learner Committed to food and health safety, familiarity with safe food handling is a plus This is a fast-paced environment. You need to be able to handle the hustle and bustle of the food service industry. You need to be ability to stand for long periods of time and must be able to lift 30-50lb (we will be getting deliveries and we will be carrying and stocking them inside) You need to be vaccinated Must be 18 years of age or older Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $17.00 per hour Experience Baking: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
