OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Helper to assist in our bustling culinary environment.This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation, baking, and the food industry.The Helper will support our kitchen team in various tasks, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality product output.Ideal candidates will have a keen interest in culinary arts, food safety, and customer service, with some experience in food handling or kitchen work preferred.Responsibilities Assist with bagel making, dough preparation, and bagel presentation to ensure attractive and professional results Support the packaging of baked goods and food products for delivery or retail display Aid in food production processes, including ingredient prep, mixing, and assembly Help with general food preparation tasks such as chopping, measuring, and assembling ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards Support cooking activities under supervision, including baking and other culinary tasks Assist with catering events or restaurant service as needed Handle food safely by following proper handling procedures and sanitation protocols Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or guests during events or sales Requirements Ability to wake up early, our shifts start at 1:30am and 2am in the morning Reliable vehicle to travel to work, also living nearby is a plus Bi-lingual is a plus, English and Spanish but NOT necessary, Spanish or English only is also OK for this position as we speak both languages.Previous experience in dough preparation, baking, or food preparation is highly desirable BUT NOT NECESSARY, willing to train Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and pastry tools Experience in the food industry, including catering or restaurant work, is a plus Strong attention to detail and a passion for culinary arts Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Willingness to learn new skills related to pastry arts, food production, and customer service This position offers an engaging environment for those eager to develop their culinary skills while supporting a dynamic team dedicated to quality food creation.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$17.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours:37 - 40 per week Benefits:Employee discount Food provided Opportunities for advancement Store discount Work Location:In person.
