Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Bakery Consultant to assist our team through some expected growth.This will be a temporary position with the duration decided upon hire with the selected candidate, with the possibility of a permanent position to follow.Only candidates with extensive experience in high volume bakery operations, and traditional Italian baked goods, will be considered.What You Will Do:Main Focus We are very happy with the recipes for our core and seasonal items.As our business expands, we are also looking to grow our catalog.For this role we are seeking someone with not only a passion for baking, but for teaching! A detail orientated and patient teacher.The ideal candidate :MUST HAVE extensive experience with Italian Cookies & Pastries.Traditional Italian Butter Cookies, Rainbow Cookies, Amaretti, Pignoli Cookies, Almond based cookies and more.Assist the team in streamlining processes (baking, prepping, etc.) and creating SOP's.Assess all processes, make recommendations for improvement to team, upon approval create detailed SOPs and train team.Create detailed recipe book including all ingredients and detailed step by step directions.Make suggestions for ingredient sourcing for cost control and quality.Be a Mentor! Share your experience, passion and love of baking.Qualifications Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or related culinary fields with a focus on cake decorating and food production Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures within the food industry Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and enthusiastically Skilled in food preparation techniques including knife skills, cooking methods, and catering support Experience working in kitchens or restaurant environments is highly desirable Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean workspace Passion for baking, culinary innovation, and sharing your expertise with others A longer term, permanent position can be considered at the completion of the agreed upon consultancy.Join us as a Bakery Consultant where your culinary talents will inspire creativity and delight every customer.Bring your passion for baking into a lively environment that values skill, enthusiasm, and exceptional service!
