Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Bakery Manager to lead our bakery operations with passion and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee daily bakery activities, manage a dedicated team, and ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service. Your leadership will drive sales, maintain high-quality standards, and foster a positive work environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and possesses strong management skills to motivate staff and optimize bakery performance. Duties Lead and supervise bakery staff, including training, and developing team members to ensure excellent performance and customer service. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective purchasing strategies. Oversee daily bakery operations, including shift management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Implement merchandising and marketing strategies to boost sales, enhance product presentation, and attract new customers. Conduct employee orientation sessions, performance evaluations, and ongoing training to promote a skilled and motivated team. Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent communication skills and phone etiquette to resolve issues promptly. Maintain accurate bookkeeping records related to sales, payroll processing, budgeting, and store financials. Ensure proper pricing strategies are applied to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the retail marketplace. Experience Proven management experience in a retail or grocery store environment with supervisory responsibilities in a bakery or food service setting. Demonstrated expertise in bakery production, sales management, and inventory management Strong leadership skills with experience in team management, employee training & development, and supervising shifts effectively. Familiarity with purchasing processes, merchandising techniques, and store management tools. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a bakery setting, recruiting, interviewing potential employees, payroll administration, bookkeeping, and managing budgets is highly desirable.
