Job Description
Position Description Morgan Stanley Bank NA (MSBNA) and Morgan Stanley Private Bank (MSPBNA) are nationally chartered banks and material operating subsidiaries of Morgan Stanley. These entities are regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The Bank Regulatory Reporting team, within the Finance division, is responsible for regulatory capital calculations, forecasting, and reporting for MSBNA and MSPBNA. This Director (P4) role provides leadership across capital allocation, regulatory capital reporting, and stress testing activities, with responsibility for delivering high quality analysis, driving process enhancements, and supporting senior management and regulatory stakeholders. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Lead change agenda on behalf of capital reporting team, including automation of calculations and outputs, streamlining of processes and testing Lead business unit capital allocation and return on equity analysis across legal entities and management reporting frameworks. Own preparation, review, and delivery of standalone legal entity regulatory capital reporting, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. Provide end to end oversight of capital forecasting activities for regulatory stress testing, including governance, controls, and documentation. Develop and review capital allocation and forecasting materials for regulatory submissions, budgeting, and senior management decision making. Oversee the maintenance, enhancement, and governance of bank capital forecasting models, including testing and model documentation. Provide senior level oversight of daily risk weighted asset monitoring across key balance sheet exposures, including loans, cash, and investments. Qualifications Required Experience of data modelling and investigation with the ability to identify issues, develop and implement practical solutions. Ability to understand and evaluate processes and key controls. Experienced in implementing change effectively. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and regulatory data. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment with a high degree of accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management. Self‑directed leader with a strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, and ability to mentor junior team members. Experience with process automation, using Alteryx, Axiom, TM1, AI or any other technologies. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of relevant experience in bank regulatory reporting, capital reporting, or financial analysis. Strong understanding of bank regulatory capital frameworks and reporting requirements. Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
