Date Posted: May 8th 2026 Pay: $22.50 per hour Job Type: Part -Time [permanent] Job Description, Duties and Requirements The Banquet Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests, answering questions about drink ingredients, and making recommendations for cocktails and specialty drinks. This position requires monitoring guest alcohol intake in compliance with Riverside Convention Center’s service and insurance policies, as well as ensuring alcoholic beverages are not served to anyone under the age of 21. If an event is a cash bar, the bartender will also handle guest payments. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a positive attitude are essential. Banquet bartenders must also meet the physical demands of the job, following instructions efficiently, and maintain health and safety standards at all times—including event breakdown duties such as removing linens and resetting bar equipment. **Our bartender team also has the opportunity to cross over into our Banquet Server team when needed which may provide additional hours and broader event experience. Job Responsibilities Includes, but is not limited to: Set up beverage service area, including portable bar setup Stock bar with glassware, napkins, garnishes, liquor, wine, beer, and soft drinks Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area Prepare and serve beverages professionally and courteously Ability to follow customized recipes for special drinks tailored to the event booked. Monitor guest alcohol consumption in compliance with service laws Handle cash or card payments when applicable Communicate guest needs, complaints, or special requests to the Banquet Captain Break down and store bar equipment and supplies after events Report to Banquet Captain at the start and end of each shift Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Previous bartending or banquet beverage service experience preferred Knowledge of drink recipes and liquor service laws Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs during shifts Strong guest service and communication skills Qualifications bartending school training Strong customer service skills with a professional and positive demeanor Ability to multitask during high-volume service periods Ability to learn and follow established beverage procedures and recipes Current Riverside County Food Handler’s Card and ABC-RBS Certification required or completed upon hire Flexibility to work all hours especially evenings, weekends and holidays based on event schedules Job Type Part-Time {permanent position} No On-Call Pay: $22.50/hour Location: Riverside Convention Center – Riverside, CA Why You’ll Enjoy Working Here You will join a professional and supportive banquet team where every event offers something new.
