Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and take beverage and food orders accurately using POS systems such as Chicago POS Serve drinks and food promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management, ensuring all guests receive attentive service. Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change with accuracy using cash handling skills. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including beverages like brewing options, and recommend pairings to enhance guest experience. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times. Assist with bar setup, restocking supplies, and maintaining a clean work environment throughout shifts. Support catering events, banquets, or nightclub service as needed, demonstrating versatility across various hospitality settings. Skills Proficiency in POS systems Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally. Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods seamlessly. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and billing accuracy. Previous restaurant or food industry experience, including catering or banquet service, is preferred. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments requiring multitasking and quick thinking.
