Benefits: Employee discounts Flexible schedule Opportunity for advancement Training & development Department: Front of House (FOH) Reports To: Floor Manager > GM Location: Cala Scottsdale Pay: $12.15/hour + Tips Job Summary Barbacks are the behind-the-scenes muscle that keeps the bar running smoothly. This role is responsible for maintaining bar cleanliness, restocking supplies, assisting bartenders, and ensuring the bar is fully prepped to deliver high-level service during every shift. Key Responsibilities Stock bar with glassware, ice, garnishes, spirits, mixers, and other supplies. Maintain a clean and organized bar area at all times. Assist bartenders with prep, garnishing, and restocking during service. Collect and remove trash, recycling, and dirty glassware throughout the shift. Check and replenish fruit, herbs, syrups, and specialty garnishes regularly. Help set up and break down the bar each shift, following opening and closing checklists. Monitor keg levels, replace as needed, and assist with beer/cocktail tap maintenance. Work with urgency and awareness during peak hours. Support team needs in other areas when possible — you’re an essential utility player. Uphold safety and sanitation standards for all bar tools and surfaces. Skills & Qualifications Previous barback or support experience preferred, but not required. Must be a fast learner and quick on your feet. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and being on your feet for extended periods. Must have (or obtain) a current Arizona Food Handler’s Card and Liquor License. Work Environment & Expectations Maintain a clean and polished appearance in accordance with uniform standards. Punctuality and reliability are essential. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Hustle hard, stay sharp, and support your bartenders and teammates.
