Job OverviewJoin our vibrant caf team as a Barista and Server, where you'll be the friendly face that creates memorable experiences for every guest.In this dynamic role, you'll craft delicious coffee beverages, serve food with enthusiasm, and provide exceptional customer service that keeps patrons coming back.Your energy and attention to detail will help foster a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring each visitor leaves satisfied and eager to return.This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the food and beverage industry while working in a lively, team-oriented environment.Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.Take customer orders accurately, process transactions efficiently, and handle cash or card payments with proper cash handling procedures.Serve food items promptly while maintaining food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.Engage with customers to provide friendly service, answer questions about menu items, and recommend popular options to enhance their experience.Maintain cleanliness of workstations, coffee equipment, dining areas, and ensure adherence to food safety regulations.Manage time effectively during busy periods by prioritizing tasks such as food prep, order fulfillment, and customer interactions.Support team members by assisting with food preparation or restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.Qualifications Prior barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred; familiarity with caf operations is a plus.Experience in food service or retail environments demonstrating strong customer service skills.Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales transactions.Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations.Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude.Join us to bring your passion for coffee and service into a lively environment where every day presents new opportunities to connect with guests and grow your skills!
