All bagels are hand rolled and kettle boiled. Our menu is entirely curated by us and the team with all items made in house. We thrive with exceptional hospitality. With one bustling location in West Nashville (opened Jan 2024) and a second in East Nashville that opened summer 2025, we produce over 7,000 hand-rolled, kettle-boiled bagels weekly and serve a loyal and growing community that values quality, speed, and warmth. With two locations we are planning to double production. Our team is dedicated, fast-paced, and passionate about creating joyful guest experiences through both great coffee and great connection. Position Summary As a Barista at Benji’s, you’ll be more than just a coffee maker—you’ll be a key part of the guest experience. You’ll craft espresso drinks and teas, support a smooth and clean service flow, assist with bagel and pastry orders, and contribute to the energetic, team-first culture that defines our shop. This role requires hustle, heart, and hospitality. We’re looking for people who thrive under pressure and bring positivity to every shift. Key Responsibilities Craft Quality Drinks: Prepare espresso, teas, lemonades, and seasonal beverages with consistency, speed, and attention to detail. All items on menu are made in house including lemonade, syrups and other seasonal offerings Guest-Focused Service: Welcome every guest with warmth and professionalism. Offer recommendations, answer questions, and resolve concerns quickly. Fast-Paced Cash Handling: Operate Toast POS with accuracy and urgency during high-volume service, including ringing in both beverage and food orders. Maintain Standards: Keep the coffee bar clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout your shift. Follow all cleaning protocols and safety guidelines. Communicate & Collaborate: Work closely with teammates (Owners, Barista, Cashier, Support, Kitchen Team) to keep flow moving during busy shifts. Learn & Grow: Stay up to date on new products, seasonal items, and ingredients so you can speak knowledgeably with guests.
