OverviewJoin our vibrant caf team as a Barista Cashier, where your energy and enthusiasm will create memorable experiences for every guest.In this dynamic role, you'll be the friendly face behind the counter, expertly handling customer orders while preparing delicious coffee and food items.Your positive attitude and efficient service will keep our caf buzzing with energy and ensure customers leave satisfied and eager to return.This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, sales, and customer engagement in a lively, fast-paced environment.Duties Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, snacks, and light food items following food safety and handling standards.Operate cash registers efficiently, handle cash transactions with accuracy, and give correct change using basic math skills.Maintain cleanliness of the caf area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment, adhering to food safety regulations.Upsell menu items to increase sales while providing exceptional customer service that encourages repeat visits.Manage order flow during busy periods by prioritizing tasks effectively with strong time management skills.Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness to ensure quality standards are met.Requirements Previous barista experience or a background in coffee preparation is preferred but not required; training will be provided.Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.Ability to handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math for cash handling and retail math proficiency.Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.Effective time management skills to balance multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.Basic understanding of the food industry standards for serving, food preparation, and retail operations.Embark on a rewarding journey where your enthusiasm fuels great experiences!
