Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Cashier to join our vibrant bakery & caf team.The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, craft high-quality coffee and beverages, demonstrate food handling skills, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment.This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced food service setting in a fun, energetic environment full of people visiting the Julian area to create lasting memories! Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency Operate POS systems to ensure order accuracy Manage cash handling accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation and serving areas Assist with food handling, food safety protocols, and basic food preparation as needed Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service Qualifications Previous Barista experience or coffee experience preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems is a plus Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using cash handling skills and basic math proficiency Knowledge of food safety, food handling, and food preparation standards in a caf or retail environment Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours Experience in serving, retail environments, and the food industry is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Join our team as a Barista/Cashier to deliver exceptional customer experiences while developing your skills in a dynamic caf environment.We value teamwork, enthusiasm, and dedication to providing outstanding customer service.Pay:From $17.00 per hour Benefits:Employee discount Paid time off Work Location:In person.
