Barista

Meet Me at Madison's Cafe & Restaurant located in Montclair, NJ is seeking an experienced Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and creating a positive and enjoyable experience for our guests. If you have a passion for creating coffee drinks including specialty crafted drinks and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Duties will include the following: Prepare and serve beverages such as coffee, matcha latte, cappuccino, teas and homemade juices such as green energy drinks. Take pastry/sandwich orders and provide recommendations. Will operate a panini machine. Collect payments from customers and process transactions accurately. Assist with restocking your area during and after your shift. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Assist with glassware and coffee cleaning duties such as operating the dishwasher. Must be willing to assist with weekly deep cleaning. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient service. Cleans station to ensure Health & Safety requirements. Job requirement: Schedule available: Friday, Saturday and Sundays. 10am-3pm. Must be able to operate coffee equipment that includes an espresso machine. Proficient in using POS systems and cash registers. Excellent barista skills including specialty coffee design are a plus. Must be able to communicate with guests in English.
