As a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, you will, under the direction of the Director of Student Services, conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and plans and provide consultative and direct instructional and behavioral support services to students. You will also participate in the development and implementation of programs, policies and practices relative to the management of students' problematic behaviors, including children with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and emotional disturbance (ED). The Behavior Analyst also provides in-service and on-site training to staff on implementation of appropriate instructional strategies, behavior management, behavior intervention plans and 504 plans as appropriate. How You Will Impact Education Instruction/Education Responsibilities Collaborate with staff in the development, implementation and assessment of behavior plans and Applied Behavior Analysis instructional programs for students with ASD or other disabilities that present behavior or learning challenges. Develop materials, provide resources, and provide training, professional development, and coaching on effective behavior interventions and strategies. Work with classroom teachers and instructional assistants to model effective behavioral and instructional programming. Train, coach and supervise support staff working with behaviorally challenging students. Attend Planning and IEP Team Meetings as needed. Collect, maintain, and analyze data, and prepare reports for the purposes of documenting case history, assessments, and treatments. Works with special education staff in developing data collection systems, monitoring data collection, and analyzing data to ensure the effectiveness of interventions and instructional strategies. Assist in development and implementation of appropriate programming and interventions to increase appropriate student behavior and academic skills. Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments to inform the development of individualized Behavior Intervention Plans Conduct evaluations for purposes of identification or reevaluation of special education services in conjunction with other evaluations. Work directly with students who exhibit inappropriate behaviors. Required Qualifications And Skills Ability to communicate complex information, individually and in groups, to people from a wide variety of age, education, and ethnic backgrounds. Strong track record for analyzing complex problems/issues, identifying patterns, and recommending creative solutions. Ability to work and interact with individuals at all levels of the organization. Establish excellent interpersonal skills between all constituents: being courteous, professional, and helpful; Oral, Written, Interpersonal (active listening), Negotiating and Influencing. Proactive and takes initiative. Insists on providing highest level of quality. Must be customer focused both internally with staff and externally with parents and students. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities. Reviews current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibility. Ability to consistently be at work, be on time, follow instructions, respond to management direction, and solicit feedback to improve performance. Computer Basics -- Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); Student Information System (SIS). Good knowledge of company and school policies and procedures. Detailed knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements for K-12 schools and charter school law preferred. Job Requirements
