Job Description
Are you a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) currently enrolled in a Master’s program for Applied Behavior Analysis and working toward BCBA certification? Mindful Play ABA is hiring a BCBA Trainee / RBT Intern to join our growing clinic team in Oklahoma City. This position is designed for graduate students seeking meaningful BACB fieldwork experience, including both restricted and unrestricted hours, while continuing to provide high-quality ABA therapy to children with autism. Our clinic uses a child-led, play-based ABA approach focused on compassionate care, relationship building, natural environment teaching (NET), and clinical growth. This is more than an observation role - trainees gain hands-on experience in supervision, behavior analysis, leadership, and clinic operations under the guidance of experienced BCBAs. What You’ll Do: Direct ABA Therapy Provide 1:1 ABA therapy services to children with autism spectrum disorder Implement individualized behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs Use play-based and naturalistic teaching strategies during therapy sessions Support communication, social, adaptive living, and behavior goals Collect accurate behavioral data and maintain session documentation in CentralReach Follow ethical and clinical standards established by the BACB and supervising BCBA BCBA Fieldwork Experience Accrue supervised fieldwork hours toward BCBA certification Gain experience with unrestricted activities including: Program modification support Behavioral data analysis Treatment planning assistance Clinical documentation review Parent training support RBT mentorship and modeling Behavior plan implementation feedback Participate in supervision meetings, clinical collaboration, and case discussions Learn practical clinical decision-making skills in a supportive environment Clinic & Team Collaboration Assist with clinic organization and daily treatment flow Prepare therapy materials, visuals, token systems, and reinforcement items Collaborate with BCBAs, RBTs, and leadership team members Support a positive, child-centered, and team-oriented clinic culture Help maintain consistency and treatment integrity across sessions Qualifications Active RBT certification required Bachelor’s degree required Required : Currently enrolled in a BACB-approved Master’s program in ABA, psychology, education, or related field Interest in pursuing BCBA certification required Previous ABA or RBT experience preferred Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Passion for working with children with autism and developmental differences Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Is actively collecting BCBA fieldwork hours Wants both restricted and unrestricted supervision opportunities Enjoys play-based, relationship-focused ABA therapy Is eager to grow clinically and professionally Can take initiative while also collaborating with a team Values compassionate and ethical autism care Why Join Mindful Play ABA?
