Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mental Health Clinical Director to lead our behavioral health services for our Mental Health and Substance Abuse treatment program. The ideal candidate will oversee clinical operations, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and foster a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional behavioral health and addiction care. This leadership role requires a strong background in mental health management as well as addiction management, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and organizational efficiency. Requirements Must have an active LISW-S or LPCC-S credentials Duties Provide clinical oversight and leadership for mental health programs, ensuring quality and compliance with all regulatory standards, including CARF accreditation requirements. Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical policies and procedures to optimize patient outcomes and operational effectiveness. Manage multidisciplinary teams of clinicians, therapists, and support staff through effective supervision, training, and performance evaluations. Oversee medical management activities, including treatment planning, case reviews, and medication management protocols. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic plans that align with organizational goals and community needs. Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and standards while maintaining a patient-centered approach to care delivery. Facilitate continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction. Maintain documentation accuracy and ensure compliance with privacy laws such as HIPAA. Skills Proven experience in medical management within mental health or behavioral health settings. Strong healthcare management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively. Excellent management capabilities, including strategic planning, staff development, and operational oversight. Knowledge of CARF accreditation standards and experience in maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with staff, patients, families, and external partners. Ability to analyze data for quality improvement purposes and implement evidence-based practices.
