Position Description: We are seeking a licensed Master-Level or doctoral-level mental health providers (LPC, LCSW-C, PsyD, or Ph.D.) to conduct Wellness Checks for First Responders in the Northern Virginia area. All Wellness checks will be performed using a semi-structured format with minimal documentation requirements. Screening tools and documentation will be administered using an internal virtual platform managed by Thinkblot’s administrative staff, with scheduling supported by our team. Other responsibilities may include providing short-term evidence-based therapy, supporting the growth of the wellness check and human performance program through content research and briefing development, conducting occasional training sessions and workshops on wellness-related topics for department staff, and collaborating with other providers in the first responder community. The clinician will report directly to the Human Performance Program Manager (a doctoral-level psychologist) and will also receive oversight from the Thinkblot Clinical Director. This is a unique opportunity to give back to the community, provide an impactful service to a high-risk first population, all while avoiding the hassles of scheduling, billing, marketing and other administrative tasks that can impede your ability to help others. In addition, the psychologist may engage in training, supervision, and research activities, represent the the company at conferences and to the local provider community, and support business development efforts. Depending on experience and interest, the psychologist also may be able to provide ancillary support to other business lines including wellness check-ins, trainings, and workshops. While we are seeking a provider for 20-24 hours a week, there may be opportunities to increase hours or transition to full-time. Qualifications: We are seeking a provider with an active LPC, LCSW-C, PsyD, or PhD with a strong clinical experience and a desire to serve those in public safety. The provider must be licensed in Virginia or otherwise authorized to provide telehealth services to individuals located in Virginia. Preferred candidates have direct experience working with first responders, including law enforcement, fire/rescue, EMS, dispatch, corrections, military, or other public safety professionals. Experience providing trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, resilience support, or wellness services within high-stress occupational environments is strongly desired. Candidates must also maintain active professional malpractice insurance coverage. Salary is commensurate with experience/abilities . Location: The provider will primarily provide services remotely, with some in-person opportunities at the Reston, VA office. The provider will work mostly during normal business hours, with some Saturday morning hours as-needed.
