Our Behavioral Health Residential Facility (BHRF) provides a structured, supportive, and recovery-focused environment for residents ages 18 and older. In this role, you will provide direct support, supervision, life skills coaching, transportation assistance, behavioral health support, and medication monitoring while helping residents progress toward treatment goals and greater independence. This position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, compassionate, calm under pressure, and committed to maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. Responsibilities Provide direct care and supervision to residents in a Behavioral Health Residential Facility setting. Support residents with activities of daily living including hygiene, meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a healthy routine. Assist residents with self-administration of medication in accordance with facility policy and Arizona regulations. Monitor resident behavior, emotional stability, and safety while maintaining accurate progress notes and documentation. Facilitate and encourage participation in life skills groups, recreational activities, community outings, and recovery-focused programming. Transport residents to appointments, treatment programs, community resources, grocery shopping, recreational outings, and other approved activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment that meets BHRF licensing standards. Utilize verbal de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques when residents are experiencing emotional distress or behavioral escalation. Observe and report significant behavioral, emotional, or medical changes to the Administrator, BHP, RN, or clinical team as appropriate. Complete required documentation including progress notes, medication logs, incident reports, transportation logs, and shift communication notes. Ensure residents follow house rules, treatment expectations, and safety protocols while treating all residents with dignity and respect. Participate in staff trainings, clinical oversight, emergency drills, and continuing education requirements. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, ADHS, and AHCCCS standards at all times. Qualifications & Requirements Must be at least 21 years old. Valid Arizona Driver’s License with reliable transportation and current auto insurance. Current Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one before employment. Current CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to obtain prior to working independently with residents. Current TB clearance and physical examination required. High School Diploma or GED required. Experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, mental health, substance abuse treatment, social services, or caregiving preferred. Experience working with individuals diagnosed with SMI, substance use disorders, PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia is highly preferred. Ability to remain calm and professional during crisis situations. Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability and professionalism. Must be able to pass background screening and maintain compliance with all state licensing requirements.
