Behavioral Health Technician / Direct Care Staff – Adolescent Residential Program Company: Anchor Haven Behavioral Health Location: Cleveland, Ohio Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Schedule: Flexible shifts available (days, evenings, weekends, overnights) Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience, availability, and shift coverage About Anchor Haven Anchor Haven is an adolescent behavioral health residential program focused on providing a safe, structured, and supportive environment for youth. Our mission is to create stability, structure, life-skills development, and emotional support within a therapeutic residential setting. Position Overview Anchor Haven is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Care Staff / Behavioral Health Technicians to support adolescents within a residential behavioral health environment. This role is hands-on and focused on daily structure, supervision, mentorship, and maintaining a safe and supportive home-like environment for residents. No prior behavioral health experience is required. We welcome individuals who are passionate about helping youth and willing to learn. Responsibilities - Supervise and support adolescents within the residential setting - Assist with daily living activities and household routines - Prepare meals and assist with kitchen cleanliness and organization - Support household cleaning and sanitation procedures - Assist residents with structured group activities, guided projects, and recreational programming - Escort and transport residents to: school - appointments - community outings - recreational activities and field trips - Provide emotional support and maintain positive professional relationships with residents - Assist with behavior monitoring and verbal de-escalation techniques - Maintain accurate documentation and incident reporting as required - Help maintain a safe, respectful, and structured environment at all times Qualifications - High school diploma or GED required - Experience working with youth, behavioral health, childcare, mentoring, residential care, or healthcare is preferred but not required - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations - Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented - Valid driver’s license preferred - Comfortable transporting adolescents if needed Requirements - Must successfully complete: FBI & BCI background checks - Fingerprinting requirements - Drug screening (if applicable) - Must maintain professional boundaries and appropriate conduct at all times - Reliable transportation preferred - CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Important Program Information - Anchor Haven utilizes verbal de-escalation and trauma-informed support approaches - No physical restraint or seclusion techniques are utilized within the program - Staff are expected to maintain professionalism, structure, compassion, and accountability in all interactions with residents Why Join Anchor Haven?
