Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Behavioral Health Technician and become a vital part of transforming lives through compassionate, patient-centered care. In this role, you will support individuals with behavioral health challenges, including those with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, and addiction issues. Your energetic and proactive approach will help create a safe, nurturing environment where clients can thrive. You will assist with daily activities, monitor behaviors, and implement therapeutic interventions under the supervision of licensed professionals. Duties Provide direct patient care by assisting clients with daily living activities and ensuring their safety at all times Observe, document, and report behavioral changes or incidents accurately in medical records following HIPAA guidelines Support behavior management strategies using applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behaviors Administer medications as prescribed and monitor vital signs to ensure client well-being Assist in crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate challenging situations effectively Collect data on client progress and behaviors to inform treatment plans and support ongoing assessments Collaborate with social workers, clinicians, and other team members to develop individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs Requirements Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and medical records management Ability to perform vital sign measurements accurately and understand medication administration protocols Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or PTSD care is a plus Strong skills in behavior management, applied behavior analysis, and social work principles Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members while maintaining HIPAA compliance Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion in a fast-paced environment Join us in making a positive impact!
