Benefits Pay increase based on performance Mileage reimbursement Signing bonus Position Overview: The Behavioral Support Specialist provides direct support to individuals by implementing behavior support plans, promoting skill development, and enhancing overall quality of life. This role focuses on fostering independence, improving social and communication skills, and supporting positive behavioral outcomes in home and community settings. Schedule: This position is limited to a maximum of 1 hour for direct per week, with scheduled workdays on Tuesdays Key Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior support plans in alignment with established goals Provide one-on-one support in home and community environments Monitor, document, and report behavioral progress and incidents accurately Utilize evidence-based strategies to encourage positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors Support individuals in developing daily living, social, and communication skills Collaborate with team members, caregivers, and supervisors to ensure consistent care Maintain professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality standards Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred Prior experience working with individuals with behavioral or developmental needs preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the community Ability to pass required background checks Skills & Competencies: Patience, empathy, and adaptability Strong problem-solving and observation skills Ability to follow structured plans while remaining flexible when ne
