YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth Employment Application The YMCA Swim Coach is responsible for the leadership, development, and performance enhancement of swimmers across all ages and skill levels within a competitive or developmental swim program. This role emphasizes the instruction of proper swimming techniques, the cultivation of a supportive and motivating team culture, and the implementation of a safe, structured, and goal-oriented training environment in alignment with YMCA standards and best practices. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Instructs participants on the swim team in accordance with YMCA guidelines. Builds effective, authentic relationships with participants and parents; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA. Encourages parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers. Conveys information on aquatics programs and schedules and as appropriate refers participants and parents to other programs. Maintains records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.). Attends staff meetings and trainings as scheduled. Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary. Organizes and puts away needed class equipment. Reports damaged equipment. Trains and supervises class aides as assigned.
