Job Description
Looking to bring on a Benefits Technology Specialist! The Benefits Technology Specialist is accountable and responsible for assigned client installations, renewals, and change orders for online technology platforms. Using a variety of internal tools, this individual will complete the setup of client-specific variables including account structure, complex benefit designs, rate tables, branding, logos, content, workflow and controls onto the platform(s). In addition, the Benefit Technology Specialist is a customer-facing position who provides and maintains a high level of customer service to internal and external partners. The Benefit Technology Specialist should have a background in health and ancillary benefits as well as payroll integrations. They should have experience in benefit platforms. The Benefit Technology Specialist will be working specifically in iSolved, but will have familiarity with bSwift, Employee Navigator and ADP. Responsibilities Strong understanding of a broad array of group insurance benefits including Medical, Dental, Flexible Spending, Life, Disability, Ancillary, COBRA and Deferred Compensation according to Employer Group and business rules. Understanding of payroll solutions and how benefits integrate. Accurate interpretation of client-specific rules and eligibility to configure plan structure in the platform to accommodate employer group, external carrier and business requirements. Review and translate data from the employer, applicable carriers and other sources (employee, dependent and/or enrollment for multiple benefit types) working with internal teams to ensure accuracy of data loads and testing. Support the client management team in handling renewal decisions and issues. Identify, track and report issues or enhancements required to meet current industry standard business rules and functionality. Provide high level customer relations including client training and day-to-day problem solution and support. Conduct client demonstrations of both small and large group platform solutions. Ensure a high level of quality is produced on the team by performing quality audits and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on team members’ work. Qualifications Extensive knowledge and expertise with multiple software and system-based applications included but not limited to Word, Excel, SharePoint Applications. Working knowledge of HTML and XML. Working knowledge of health and insurance benefits including business rules, COBRA, Section 125, HIPAA, etc. Qaulifications Judgment, creativity and analytical skills are required to analyze, recommend and improve workflows. Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong commitment and teamwork skills including a sense of humor. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willingness to adapt to department and company needs. Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience in client account management / services, or benefit administration. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
